The onsen offered amazing views of Kyoto, but the early check-out time felt rushed and inconvenient.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable, and

the surrounding area was peaceful and charming. Our room was beautifully traditional, providing a unique experience. However, I did find the bathroom fixtures a bit dated. Overall, I had an exceptional time at Ryokufuso!

oh, what a shame! instead of red-carpet treatment, i got mediocre linens and a room that made me feel like i was in a closet. absolutely shocked by the early breakfast cut-off, i woudl ve appreciated some flexibility as they claim to be 5-star! i don’t think i’ll be returning.

My stay was exceptional with the spacious and beautifully traditional Japanese-Style Room. The kaiseki meals were delightful and felt like eating art, with each dish beautifully presented. The staff provided remarkable service, helping with local recommendations and ensuring a warm atmosphere. Relaxing in the onsen after a productive day of meetings was a highlight, offering peaceful views of Kyoto. Their attention to detail made for a truly memorable experience.

Gorgeous room decorated in traditional style with tatami mats. The futons were surprisingly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. Staff provided a warm welcome and showed us to our room, which had plenty of outlets for charging devices. The onsen on the top floor offered an excellent retreat after a long day of exploring. Breakfast included both traditional Japanese dishes and Western choices, all fresh and flavorful. I loved the tea and delicious snacks provided in our room. However, the early check-out time felt a bit rushed, and I struggled with the lack of blackout curtains in the room. It made for a bright morning that I was not quite ready for.

We enjoyed an authentic Japanese experience at this lovely ryokan. The on-site hot baths offered a relaxing escape after long days exploring Kyoto with my family and sister. Plus, we loved the generous tea and delicious snacks waiting for us in our room.

My kids wished for more variety in the breakfast options.

Oh, the onsen was just divine! Our room had a lovely living area, and we totally enjoyed the snacks waiting for us.

The staff went above and beyond, welcoming us with tea and sweets and even arranging for our luggage to be in the room upon our return from sightseeing.

Spacious room, friendly staff, with convenient access to transportation options, including the nearby subway station which makes exploring the area easy.

I absolutely loved wearing the Yukata around the place and indulging in the delicious Kaiseki dinner, which felt like a feast! The public baths were incredibly relaxing and offered a perfect escape after a day of exploring. The dining experience was a bit rushed, but overall, it didn’t take away from the fun – I highly recommend treating yourself to a stay here! 😊

Free wi-fi in rooms was great, but parking was limited.

We had a great time sharing traditional meals and relaxing in the hot spring. The staff was super friendly and helpful and pointed us to some local gems, like a fantastic ramen bar and a cool coffee shop down the street, making our stay even better.

One downside was that the room felt a bit cramped with the futons rolled up, forcing us to sit on the floor most evenings.
